Of Ragged Stone

Warkworth, England

Warkworth castle was the backdrop in various scenes of Shakespear’s “King Henry IV” (source Wikipedia)

"this worm-eaten hold of ragged stone,
Where Hotspur's father, old Northumberland,
Lies crafty-sick."

Built of stone in the 13th Century, it was originally constructed of wood in the mid 1100's. Northumberland was still part of Scotland then. It is on a defensive hill overlooking the town of Warkworth. The moat is dry and the drawbridge gone, but it is yet locked in the dark ages of medieval England.

Please be aware that the actual print will vary somewhat in color, tint, and contrast from the image you see on your monitor. A variety of factors cause this; among those factors is monitor calibration and the fact that a monitor projects light where a print reflects light. Your purchase is guaranteed to please you or you may return it for a refund.
