My neighbor and close friend Jules was as intuitive as he was entertaining. Few people can throw an insult and cause the victims to laugh instead of get angry, but Jules could do that. In this photograph he was close to his end time and was suffering from Alzheimer's disease. It's a study of the pensive veil that conusmed a wonderful mind. I titled it "Birds No Longer Sing" like they do in the spring. This was the late autumn of his life. (This image is not for sale.)
